it is again, a totally sunny day...really HOT...actually. I got up not early, at around 8:30 and left for the breakfast. I have a croissant with meet and cheese and a cream soup with broccoli, however, I need to wait for another 30 mins for the soup. After 40 mins, I can't wait for it, I just go and ask, the waitress just suddenly surprised, she totally forgot that!! haha...and then, I got a free cookie with chocolate chips. ^_^
My schedule for today is
Treasure Island -> Bus No. 108->Transbay Transit Terminal ->F-Line (on Market)-> Pier No. 23 ->Levi's Plaza-> Pier No. 31->Alcatraz Island -> F-Line-> Fisherman's Wharf->Bubble Gump's restaurant->The Cannery-> Bus No.30->The Palace of Fine Art->Bus No. 30->The Cannery->Cable Car->Powell Station->Transbay Transit Terminal

It is hard to follow the plan due to the transportation is hard to predict here, and even the public transportation is always too full to get on.
And, it is a good experience to visit Alcatraz, the Rock, which is world-wide famous place,
Alcatraz Island offers a close-up look at the site of the first lighthouse and US fort on the West Coast, the infamous federal penitentiary long off-limits to the public, and the 18 month occupation by Indians of All Tribes which saved the tribes. Rich in history, there is also a natural side to the Rock - gardens, tide pools, bird colonies, and bay views beyond compare.
I wait for more than 1 hours to buy the ticket, and wait for another 2 hours to get on the cruise. Really tough..someone told me, October is the best season to visit San Francisco. She is totally right...And somehow, the Alcatraz trip is really great; on the way to the island, we could see the Bay Bridge is left hand side, and the Golden Gate Bridge is on the right hand side, both are pretty and one thing must to say is the fog around the bridge is really beautiful. Before this, when I saw on the postcards or calendars, I always think that is just a photoshop's result, and to see is to believe, the real scene is exactly the same as the Postcards. Nice.
After get on the island, a guy named John gives us some introduction and advices to visit the place. I went to see the theater to know more about the history of Alcatraz, still not good enough to remember it, just cool!! and I also visit the cellhouse, there is self voice guidance for free and it has "real sound effect"(I was told there is T. Chinese voice, but I don't know when I was there), just like you are in the same era with the prisoners, and some are sound really scared, such as the iron door to open or lock, and prisoners introduce themselves and also illustrate how the 3 prisoners escape from the cell (with the spoon and drill). It is quite cool on the island, strong wind and lots of waterbirds(so lots of bird shit). I also see the morgue, feel scary and also they tried to simulate how prisoners stayed in the cell, sleeping, or how they decorate their own cell. Some prisoners play guitar, some paint, and etc.

About the Levi's Plaza, I thought that is a big big Levi's shopping center, but I am totally wrong. Levi's Plaza is just like a park, with trees, water, and grass, and many dogs and old men and ladies. I was there for 2 mins. ^_^
BTW, I tried to find the Basic Brown Bear Factory in the Cannery, but failed. It ended one year ago, according to the nice ice cream shop owner and staff, but they don't know why it's closed as well.
It is a nice day, feel relax and comfortable, after the tour, Chuck took me to have Naan "n" Curry, which is just on the opposite side of Hilton Hotel. Delicious and cheap..
I am so happy today even I still not yet visit The Palace of Fine Art....haha..
